A silver birthday marks the year that a person turns 25. Few months from now, I'm starting to face this so-called 'adulthood' that comes with TASK, DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES; for myself, for other people and for my future; wrap in a beautiful packaging with cute ribbon on top. I guess it's too late for me to wish I could turn back the time.
~ I was born on August 10, 1990 at exactly 1:24 in the morning.
~ I weighed 10 pounds. (Am I really that heavy?)
~ My name's supposed to be "Xyla Louise". Because my Mom want it to be something unique. Then, she changed her mind and decided to name me Dana Deniece. (Dana = came from a vintage British perfume and Deniece = from Deniece Williams who achieved success in late 70's and 80's)
As part of my celebration, I'll be posting about the 10 things I want to do before I turn 25. My bucket list. Exactly 4 months before my birthday. And I just hope that I could finish it all before the time's run out.

#1 -- Start living HEALTHY.
That includes eating vegetables, sleeping early, cutting down on sweets and quitting my smoking habit for good.
#2 -- Get a Job and Save.
How can I start 'saving' when I don't have anything to save? It's time to put your degree in good use, Dana Deniece!
#3 -- Share my Blog.
#4 -- Treat a Homeless Child for a Meal.
#5 -- Cook a Meal.
Ok. I'm a totally rookie (or even rookier-er) when it comes to cooking, but I really want to learn. And I'll start with my favorite Filipino meal for all time, Tinola! Booyeah!
#6 -- Become a Morning Person.
This has something to do with #1, Sleeping Early. I usually sleep around 12-1am and wake up 11am the next day. So this time, I'll try as much as I could to wake myself up at ungodly hour of 7am.
#7 -- Read a Book for each Month 'til December.
I'm helluvah lazy when it comes to reading. And I choose what I read. I mean, I check reviews first before I download an ebook or hit a bookstore. Usually; chick-lit, young adult or romance.
#8 -- Have an Internet-free week.
I feel like spending most of my time on the internet. So for a change, I've decided to unplug myself away from all my social media accounts and see how can I cope up.
#9 -- Exercise 3 times A Day.
...to lose atleast 5 - 8 pounds right before my birthday. I wanna get rid of my ugly "baby" fats.
#10 -- Take myself out to see a movie.
Got this idea from Nicole of gentwenty.comgentwenty.com. I haven't tried watching a movie alone, cause the idea of it making me feel like a loner or I-dont-have-any-friends-left kind of alone.
That completes my 25th birthday bucket list. I'll update y'all when the mission is completed! Ciao!
LOVE,
Hey there, Dana! Beautiful little blog you've got here. I bet you can get most of those things checked off your bucket list! They're nice and simple and realistic. What a sweet one, #4. And about going to the movies alone.. I can totally see why you'd feel that way! lol. But it's good to do things, even movies, alone once in a while - doesn't mean you're friendless. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy early birthday to you!
